  "definition": "An imagined spherical region of space that holds the stretch of a polymer chain bounded by two adjacent entanglement points on that chain. In scaling theory its size depends on concentration and temperature, and in semi-dilute solution it is of the order of the correlation length. Parts of the chain separated by more than a blob size are taken to behave independently of each other.",
