Pair correlation length

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008420

A measure of the average distance over which the positions or orientations of particles in a system are correlated. It quantifies the extent of spatial ordering or disorder in a material, such as a liquid or a polymer melt. This length scale becomes infinite at a critical point, indicating long-range order.
