Crosslink
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002718
A covalent bond or a region of localized primary valence bonds that connects two or more polymer chains, forming a network structure. These links restrict the relative movement of polymer chains, leading to increased mechanical strength, elasticity, and insolubility. Crosslinks can be formed through chemical reactions or high-energy radiation.
