Elasticity
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003623
The ability of a material to return to its original shape and size after being deformed by an external force. This property is due to the reversible stretching of molecular bonds or polymer chains. In ecotoxicology, it describes the capacity of a community to recover from disturbance.
