Particulate matter

Finely divided solid or liquid particles suspended in a gas, such as the atmosphere. These particles vary widely in size and chemical composition, originating from both natural and anthropogenic sources. Common examples include dust, soot, pollen, and aerosols, with sizes ranging from nanometers to tens of micrometers.
