Microgel
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007331
A crosslinked polymer network that exists as a discrete, colloidal particle, typically in the size range of tens of nanometers to several micrometers. These particles can swell or deswell in response to external stimuli such as temperature, pH, or ionic strength, due to their porous and deformable structure. Microgels find applications in drug delivery, sensors, and as rheology modifiers.
