Network defect
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007847
An imperfection in the ideal structure of a polymer network, such as unreacted functional groups, dangling chains, or loops. These deviations from a perfect cross-linked structure can significantly influence the mechanical and physical properties of the material. Examples include loose ends, which are polymer chains attached at only one point to the network.
