Spectral distribution

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011124

The relative amount of radiant energy or power as a function of wavelength or frequency for a given light source or detector. This describes how the energy is distributed across the electromagnetic spectrum. For a light source, it indicates the intensity at each wavelength, while for a detector, it shows its sensitivity across different wavelengths.
