Spectral radiant energy density

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011142

The radiant energy per unit volume per unit interval of wavelength or frequency, describing the concentration of radiant energy within a specific spectral range. It quantifies how much energy is present at each particular wavelength or frequency in a given space. This quantity is typically expressed in units of joules per cubic meter per nanometer (J m⁻³ nm⁻¹) or per hertz (J m⁻³ Hz⁻¹).
