Shewhart control limit
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010816
A statistical boundary on a control chart, calculated from process data, used to monitor the stability and predictability of a process. These limits, often set at three standard deviations from the process mean, define the range within which individual measurements or subgroup averages are expected to fall when the process is in statistical control. Exceeding these limits indicates a potential out-of-control condition.
