Dose-response and dose-effect relationships

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003400

Two related concepts that characterize the connection between the amount of a substance administered and the resulting biological outcome. A dose-response relationship describes the proportion of a population that shows a specific, defined response at a given dose. A dose-effect relationship describes how the intensity of a biological effect in an individual changes with the dose.
