Biphasic dose-effect model
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001337
A representation of the relationship between the dose of a substance and its effect, where the effect changes direction at an intermediate dose. This model describes phenomena like hormesis, where low doses may stimulate a beneficial response, while high doses cause an inhibitory or toxic effect. It deviates from a simple monotonic dose-response curve.
