Individual effective dose
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005786
The smallest dose of a substance that produces a defined effect, such as death, in one particular individual, a quantity that differs from organism to organism. The spread of these individual thresholds across a population gives the sigmoid shape of the dose-response curve. The population ED50 is the median of the individual effective doses.
