Median effective concentration
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007121
The concentration of a substance that produces a specified effect in 50% of the test population within a defined observation period. This value is a measure of the potency of a chemical in eliciting a particular biological response. It is expressed in units of mass per volume, such as milligrams per liter (mg/L).
