Median inhibitory time

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007124

The duration of exposure to a toxicant required to inhibit a specific biological process or cause a defined adverse effect in 50% of a test population. This metric is used in ecotoxicology to assess the temporal dynamics of toxicity. It is expressed in units of time, such as hours or days.
