Effect time
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003579
The duration of exposure to a toxicant required to produce a specified effect in a given percentage of a population. This metric is used in ecotoxicology to characterize the speed at which a harmful outcome manifests after the onset of exposure. It is often expressed as LT50 (lethal time 50%), indicating the time at which 50% of the exposed population exhibits a lethal effect.
