Inhibitory concentration at 50%
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005850
The concentration of an inhibitor that causes 50% inhibition of a specific biological or biochemical process under defined experimental conditions. This value provides a quantitative measure of the potency of a compound in inhibiting a particular function. It is a widely used metric in pharmacology and toxicology to compare the effectiveness of different inhibitors.
