A substance, other than food, intended to affect the structure or function of the body, or to be used in the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease. Drugs can be synthetic chemicals, natural products, or biological substances. They exert their effects by interacting with specific biological targets within the body.
