Drug-specific T cell
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003456
A T lymphocyte that recognizes and responds to a specific drug or drug metabolite, often leading to an immune reaction. These cells are activated upon re-exposure to the drug, contributing to drug hypersensitivity reactions. Their activation involves presentation of drug-modified peptides by major histocompatibility complex molecules.
