Dorsal root ganglion
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003391
A cluster of sensory neuron cell bodies located along the dorsal root of a spinal nerve. These ganglia are responsible for transmitting sensory information from the body to the central nervous system. Each ganglion contains the cell bodies of unipolar neurons whose axons extend to both the periphery and the spinal cord.
