Quantal effect
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009748
A biological response that is characterized by an all-or-none outcome in an individual organism, rather than a continuous spectrum of intensity. This means the effect is either present or absent, without intermediate degrees. Examples include mortality, tumor formation, or the onset of a specific disease, which are recorded as discrete events.
