Logit transformation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006755
A mathematical transformation applied to a proportion or probability, converting it into a value that ranges from negative infinity to positive infinity. This transformation is often used in statistical modeling, particularly in logistic regression, to linearize the relationship between the predictor variables and the log-odds of the outcome. The logit of a probability p is given by the natural logarithm of the odds, ln(p/(1-p)).
