Logarithmic normal distribution

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006751

A probability distribution where the logarithm of a variable is normally distributed. In polymer science, this distribution is sometimes used to describe the molecular weight distribution of polymers, particularly for certain polymerization mechanisms. It is characterized by a positive skew, meaning the tail extends to higher molecular weights.
