Schulz-Zimm distribution
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013528
A mathematical function describing the distribution of molecular weights in a polymer sample, particularly for polymers formed by step-growth polymerization or certain radical polymerizations. It is characterized by two parameters: the weight-average molecular weight and a breadth parameter. This distribution is often used to model the polydispersity of synthetic polymers.
