Tung distribution
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013673
A mathematical function used to describe the molar mass distribution of a polymer sample, particularly for polymers produced by certain chain polymerization mechanisms. It is an empirical model that can represent both narrow and broad distributions by adjusting its parameters. The function is often applied to interpret data from size-exclusion chromatography, providing a continuous representation of the mass fraction of polymer chains as a function of their molar mass.
