Tunel test
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012357
A biochemical assay used to detect deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) fragmentation, a hallmark of apoptosis or programmed cell death. This method relies on the enzyme terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase (TdT) to label the free 3'-hydroxyl termini of DNA strand breaks with modified nucleotides. The labeled DNA fragments can then be visualized and quantified using fluorescence microscopy or flow cytometry.
