Flow cytometry assay
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004495
A laboratory technique used to analyze the physical and chemical characteristics of cells or particles as they pass one by one through a laser beam while suspended in a fluid stream. The instrument, a flow cytometer, measures light scattering and fluorescence to count and characterize the cells. This method is applied in biomolecular screening to measure cellular properties like viability, apoptosis, and cell cycle status.
