Dispersity

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003309

A measure of the breadth of the distribution of molar masses in a polymer sample. It is defined as the ratio of the weight-average molar mass to the number-average molar mass. A value of 1 indicates a perfectly monodisperse sample, while higher values signify a broader distribution.
