Logistic curve
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006752
A sigmoid-shaped curve that describes a pattern of growth or change that is initially exponential but then slows down as it approaches a maximum limit, often referred to as the carrying capacity. This mathematical model is frequently used in ecology to represent population growth in a limited environment. It is characterized by an S-shape with an upper asymptote.
