Growth curve
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005043
A graphical representation showing the increase in the activity of a daughter radionuclide over time, as it is produced from the decay of a parent radionuclide. This curve illustrates the transient or secular equilibrium between the parent and daughter activities. The shape of the growth curve depends on the relative half-lives of the parent and daughter radionuclides.
