Normal equivalent deviation

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013340

A transformation of a probability or a proportion, such as a response rate, into a value on the standard normal distribution scale. It is calculated by finding the z-score that corresponds to the given cumulative probability. For a proportion p, the normal equivalent deviation is the value z such that the area under the standard normal curve to the left of z is equal to p.
