Performance score

A quantitative measure used to evaluate the analytical capability of a laboratory or an individual analyst in a proficiency testing scheme. It assesses how closely a participant's measurement results align with the assigned reference value for a given analyte. A common example is the z-score, which indicates the deviation from the assigned value in terms of standard deviations.
