Reproductive cycle
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010205
The sequence of physiological events occurring in an organism that lead to the production of offspring. This cycle encompasses processes such as gamete formation, fertilization, gestation, and parturition. In mammals, the female reproductive cycle is often characterized by hormonal fluctuations and changes in the uterine lining, such as the estrous or menstrual cycle.
