Reproductive senescence

The age-related decline in reproductive function in an organism, eventually leading to the cessation of reproductive capacity. This process is characterized by changes in hormone levels, gamete quality, and the overall physiological ability to conceive and carry offspring. In human females, this is exemplified by menopause.
