Menopause

The natural biological process marking the permanent cessation of menstruation and the end of a woman's reproductive years. It is diagnosed after 12 consecutive months without a menstrual period, typically occurring around the age of 51. This transition is characterized by a decline in ovarian hormone production, particularly estrogen.
