Reproductive value
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010211
The expected number of future offspring an individual of a given age and sex will produce. This ecological metric considers both current reproductive output and the probability of surviving to future reproductive ages. It is a key concept in population dynamics and evolutionary biology, often calculated using life tables.
