Age distribution
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000324
The pattern of how individuals of different ages are represented within a given population at a particular time. This statistical measure describes the relative abundance of each age class, reflecting past birth and death rates and influencing future population trends. It is a key parameter in demographic models used to predict population changes.
