Age class
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000322
A grouping of individuals within a population based on their chronological age or developmental stage. This classification is used in ecological studies to analyze population structure and dynamics, such as birth rates, death rates, and susceptibility to environmental stressors. For instance, a population might be divided into juvenile, reproductive, and senescent age classes.
