Age-specific death rate
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000329
The number of deaths occurring within a particular age class of a population over a defined period. This metric provides insight into the mortality patterns across different life stages, indicating which age groups are most vulnerable to mortality factors. It is calculated by dividing the number of deaths in a specific age group by the total number of individuals in that age group.
