Agglomerate
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000330
A collection of particles that are weakly bound together by physical forces, such as van der Waals forces or electrostatic interactions. These particles retain their individual identities within the larger structure. Agglomerates can be dispersed into their primary particles by applying sufficient mechanical energy, distinguishing them from aggregates which are more strongly bonded.
