Intramolecular interactions
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006015
The attractive or repulsive forces that exist between atoms or groups of atoms within the same molecule. These interactions dictate the molecule's three-dimensional structure and its chemical and physical properties. Examples include covalent bonds, hydrogen bonds, van der Waals forces, and electrostatic interactions, all of which contribute to the overall stability and reactivity of the compound.
