Non-covalent interactions

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008012

Attractive or repulsive forces between molecules or within a single molecule that do not involve the sharing of electrons. These interactions include hydrogen bonds, van der Waals forces, and electrostatic interactions. They are weaker than covalent bonds but collectively determine the three-dimensional structure and function of biomolecules.
