Supramolecular assembly

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011620

A structured aggregate of two or more molecules held together by non-covalent interactions, such as hydrogen bonding, van der Waals forces, or electrostatic interactions. These assemblies exhibit properties distinct from their individual components and are formed through self-assembly processes. Examples include micelles, vesicles, and certain polymer aggregates.
