Agglomeration
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000331
The process by which dispersed particles in a fluid or solid matrix come together to form larger, loosely bound structures called agglomerates. This phenomenon occurs due to attractive forces between individual particles, leading to a reduction in surface energy. It can influence the flow properties, stability, and processing of materials, such as in powder metallurgy or colloid science.
