Agglomeration
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000075
The process where small particles in a drilling fluid clump together to form larger masses. This can occur due to attractive forces between particles, leading to increased viscosity, poor fluid loss control, and settling of solids. Proper dispersion agents are used to prevent agglomeration and maintain fluid stability.
