Viability selection
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012561
A type of natural selection where individuals with certain traits have a higher probability of survival to reproductive age. This differential survival leads to changes in the genetic makeup of a population over generations. It contrasts with fecundity selection, which relates to differences in reproductive output.
