Cell viability

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001781

The proportion of living, healthy cells within a population, indicating the overall health and metabolic activity of the cells. It is a measure of the ability of cells to maintain their structural and functional integrity. Cell viability is commonly assessed using assays that measure membrane integrity, metabolic activity, or ATP content.
