Deoxyribonucleic acid integrity index

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003013

A metric that assesses the overall quality and intactness of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) in a sample. It reflects the absence of breaks, nicks, or other damage to the DNA strands. This index is often determined using quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) or gel electrophoresis, with higher values indicating more intact DNA.
