Uterine cycle
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012476
The series of cyclic changes that occur in the endometrium, the inner lining of the uterus, in response to ovarian hormones. These changes prepare the uterus for the potential implantation of a fertilized egg. If implantation does not occur, the endometrial lining is shed, marking the beginning of a new cycle.
