Estrogen

A category of primary female sex hormones that are steroid compounds. These hormones are central to the maturation and function of the female reproductive system and the development of female secondary sexual characteristics. The three major naturally occurring estrogens in women are estrone (E1), estradiol (E2), and estriol (E3).
